The “Destructive Testing” services listed below are carried out to determine the mechanical properties of every kind of metallic materials and welded joints at our laboratories that are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and devices.
TENSILE TEST : The durability is determined in this test based on the amount of extension when the material is drawn, and the last point is determined to find the maximum load amount the sample can endure.
BENDING TEST : This test includes a method used to assess the ductility near or on the surface of the joint or the existence of defects near or on the surface of the joint.
BREAKING TEST : This test is carried out to gain information on the types, dimensions and distribution of internal defects on the breakage surfaces.
CHARPY IMPACT TEST : This method determines the behavior of the material under sudden load. The measured amount is generally the energy absorbed in a single impact breakage of the sample.
HARDNESS TEST & ANALYSIS : In short, the hardness is the resistance of a material against a permanent mark. The depth or dimensions of the notch are measured to determine the hardness value.
MACRO STRUCTURAL EXAMINATION: This is the examination of etched or non-etched samples with naked eye or with a small magnifying rate. The gaps, residues, cracks, welding passes, melting and penetration rarity, the geometrical shape of the weld etc. properties are examined.
MICRO STRUCTURAL EXAMINATION : This is the examination of the internal structure of the etched or non-etched samples. The third phase precipitation, extreme grain growth, grain directions etc. properties are examined.
*The destructive test are performed outside of the scope of TS EN ISO 17020 Accreditation.
